In March 2018 it resolved to become an incorporated charity and become the representative organisation for all special constables in England, Wales and Scotland
ASCO has now voted to establish itself as the VOICE OF SPECIAL CONSTABLES in the United Kingdom and is continuing to develop the infrastructure to support all special constables. It has changed its names to Association of Special Constabulary Officers, ASCO.
